Competitive Rates

Reliable power at competitive rates is essential to your business.  At Hoosier Energy, we want to help your company succeed. We've designed two commercial/industrial rates with your business in mind. These special rates are part of the Cooperative Advantage you receive by becoming a member of your local electric power cooperative.

Hoosier Energy offers special rates through our members' retail distribution systems, who must approve each request for these incentives.

The Industrial Power Tariff:  This is a wholesale-supported tariff which offers even more competitive rates on an ongoing basis. The specific rate is tailored by your local member retail distribution system, based upon Hoosier Energy's wholesale offering.

Requirements: A minimum monthly demand of 500 kW.

The Interruptible Tariff:  This is a contract-based rate providing additional incentives and even more competitive electric rates for customers meeting the minimum requirements.

Requirements: Your business must be able to shed at least 1,000 kW of load. The contract will specify:

1. Minimum notice periods;
2. Minimum load reduction requirements; and
3. Maximum hours allowed for interruption.
